Cognitive Decline: you know it’s real.
I took the video of the President Biden and George Stephanopolous of last Friday, 07/05 from my three-speed chair on my iPhone. I caught it on today’s venerable “NBC’s Meet The Press” with Kristen Welker.” Kristen showed her wide #MTP audience the clip with her commentary. I made a choppy vid, with my own (internal) commentary:
(((“No, President Joseph A. Biden, after I reviewed your video clips, gaffes, Mrs. (FLOTUS) Biden helping you out; the debate which was a disaster, your losing your train of thought…and all through the mess, I feel strongly you have never taken a Cognitive test.”)))
“Neither”, said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) “has Donald Trump”, former President of the United States. Schiff was speaking with moderator Kristin Welker on “Meet The Press”. No one else seemed to want to discuss President Biden unless they were on the opposite ticket.
Cognitive Decline can hit anyone anywhere, anytime. It can be the precursor to Alzheimer’s or many other brain diseases similar to it. I took the test for Alzheimer’s in January, 2024. The FULL test. It was administered by a neurologist who had had me in for two sessions of questions before taking the actual testing. The test, with all of its questions, took me over two hours. I was surprised, as I always knew myself as being a quicksilver thinker and doer. I’m not anymore. I knew I wasn’t over a year ago but I still don’t want to believe it.
While right now I have no Alzheimer’s on my horizon, I do have brain damage from concussions; and much of it is hereditary, (both of my maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother died of Alzheimer’s and Dementia). I understood part of my brain has shrunk. So Yes, I have mild Cognitive Decline at this time.
I am 67 years old.
In full disclosure, I had waited three years to have Virginia Commonwealth University administer the testing. I wanted to know. I found that I also have a challenge with taking many prescription drugs for years that may be clashing with each other. And they slow your brain down. These RXs are the result five major surgeries which I’m grateful for, MMRSA staph infection twice due to hospitals lacking cleanliness, (NOT grateful for! I contracted Lymphedema and Lipidema shortly after my first spinal surgery, and gained over 200 pounds in water — but losing 130, which has truly taken over five years to do. I am on a Tactile Pump and wear compression garments every day).
If I can take a test that had disclosed Cognitive Decline, (and No One looks forward to it!), surely our current President Joe Biden will take the test for us, The American People Who Vote, and Candidates Donald J. Trump and Robert Kennedy, Jr. Will do the same. They owe this to The American People. It’s called “Full Disclosure”.
